Korea: Sustainable water management based on wastewater reuse and rainfall utilization systems
Taiwan: Change of an aquatic environment caused by the construction of structures
As mentioned above, each country has its own unique problem. We can discuss these topics deeply at the meeting to enrich our knowledge and understanding.

Sustainability for Geo-technology

Geotechnology has been developed in each country, suitable for its social situation or its land condition. The purpose of the study of this group is to deepen our knowledge of geotechnology with sharing its characteristic depending on each country as follows.
Korea team: debris flow
Taiwan team: land subsidence
Japan team: liquefaction

Requirements for sustainability of structures

Japan is the one of the countries most affected by natural disasters.
Structures should have enough strength to endure those events. Alsostructures built in 1960s, the high economic growth period in Japan, become deteriorated and should think of solution for that. Therefore, sustainability is one of the most important keyword for Japanese infrastructures and what has been done so far and what should be done? How about Taiwan and Korea? Are there any requirements in common for sustainability of structures?

How to enhance sustainable bike sharing?

Transportation, which has been a continuous human activity since the age of the Four Great Civilizations, is one of the most essential issues in our modern lives as well. While we have seen concentration of technologies such as automobiles, trains and planes since the modern period, bicycles have gained high prominence as a ecological and simple transportation system today, and bicycle sharing system has spread in East Asia to enhance the usage of bicycle.
Setting a goal to seek clues for broader usage and perspective, we sprint TSA.

How to make activity of preservation of landscape better?

These days, high building and colorful signboard spoil the beauty of landscape in Japan.
To preserve landscape, the government made law of landscape in 2005. This low decides policy how to make beautiful landscape in plan area, restriction of building such as height, color of building and so on. In group study, we introduce good or bad landscape, law to preserve landscape and actual cases of preservation of landscape in each countries.
Then, we discuss good or bad point of actual cases and make suggestion to make activity of preservation of landscape better.
