Mr. Rivera has been with the Ayala Cooperation for 34 years and has held various appointments in Ayala Corporation, one of Philippines’ oldest and largest conglomerates. Retired from Ayala Cooperation in 2021, he serves as an advisor to Manila Water Company and as the founder and managing director in Watsan Analytics now. Moreover, he has served as an Independent Director of the Toilet Board Coalition for 5 years, the world’s first multi-discipline coalition of leading companies, government agencies, sanitation experts and non-profit organizations aiming to develop commercially sustainable and scalable solutions to the sanitation crisis.
He also has taken key directorships in Sanitation and Water For All for 2 years, the world’s first multi-discipline coalition of leading companies, government agency, sanitation experts and non-profit organizations aiming to develop commercially sustainable and scalable solutions to the sanitation crisis. years, a global partnership of governments, donors, civil society organizations and other development partners working together to coordinate high-level action, improve accountability and use scarce resources more effectively. He is a Founding Member of The Academy of Regulatory Professionals, an Adjunct Professor at the Global Change Institute at the University of Queensland (Australia), and the first Filipino board member of the International Water Association (IWA) since 2016. His book Tap Secrets: The Manila Water Story –An Exercise in Successful Utility Reform in Urban Water Sector, was published by the Asian Development Bank in 2014.
