福田大輔教授らの論文が，令和２年度の土木学会論文賞を受賞しました． Prof. Fukuda receives the JSCE Paper Award.

福田大輔教授と城間洋也氏（現：パシフィックコンサルタンツ株式会社）の論文「2016年首都圏高速道路料金体系改定が交通需要に与えた影響」が，令和２年度の土木学会論文賞を受賞しました．本論文は、交通需要マネジメントの観点により配慮した高速道路料金体系の改定施策が高速道路交通量に与えた影響を統計的因果推論の観点から分析した研究です．交通需要解析の観点から因果推論の手法を大幅に拡張し、新たな時空間計量経済分析手法を開発した上で、高速道路の自動料金収受システムから得られる交通ビッグデータに適用し、料金施策が交通需要に与えた因果効果を推計しています。

Prof. Fukuda and Mr. Hiroya Shiroma receive the JSCE Paper Award of 2020. This study examined the causal effects of the toll reform scheme that started in April 2016 for the Metropolitan Tokyo on traffic demand, mainly by using a novel causal analysis method for the OD traffic demand obtained from the electronic toll collection data. It has been found indeed the route traffic shift has been confirmed though it has little effects on the total traffic demand.
