武田智信さん(2017博)らの論文が米国土木学会Moisseiff Awardを受賞しました.Dr. Tomoaki Takeda and his team received ASCE Moisseiff Award

Journal of Bridge Engineeringに掲載された“Reproduction of Cable-Stayed Bridge Seismic Responses Involving Tower-Girder Pounding and Damage Process Estimation for Large Earthquakes”を著した 武田智信さん,水谷司准教授,長山智則准教授,藤野陽三名誉教授に,米国土木学会Moisseiff Awardが授与されました.Moisseiff Awardは,1920年代から30年代にかけて吊り橋の設計の第一人者として活躍し構造設計に顕著な貢献をされた故Leon Moisseiff氏の栄誉をたたえ1947年に創設された賞です.構造設計に関係する論文の中から毎年1編が選ばれます.

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has awarded
Dr. Takeda, Assoc. Prof. Mizutani, Assoc. Prof. Nagayama, and Prof. Emeritus Fujino with the 2020 Moisseiff Award for the paper “Reproduction of Cable-Stayed Bridge Seismic Responses Involving Tower-Girder Pounding and Damage Process Estimation for Large Earthquakes,” published in the February 2019 issue of Journal of Bridge Engineering.
The Moisseiff Award was established by ASCE in 1947 in recognition of the accomplishments of Leon S. Moisseiff, who lead suspension bridge design in 1920’s and 1930’s and made a notable contributions in structural design. The award is given to the author or authors of an important paper dealing with the broad field of structural design.
