大口敬教授が産学官連携功労者表彰　国土交通大臣賞を受賞しました。 Prof. Oguchi receives the MLIT Award of the Industry, Academia and Government Cooperation Contribution.

大口教授と国土技術政策総合研究所，および日本の自動車会社5社によるスマート交通流制御研究会の三者が，「高速道路サグ部等交通円滑化システム」の開発に関する取組みで，平成26年度第12回産学官連携功労者表彰の国土交通大臣賞を受賞しました。これは，大学における渋滞発生原因メカニズムに関する研究成果にもとづいて，民間の自動車会社が最新技術の一つであるACC （Adaptive Cruise Control: 前方車に一定車間で追従する自動速度調整制御）システムを提供し，これを道路管理者による交通状況検知と情報提供技術に連動させた渋滞対策技術です。大学の協力のもと，自動車会社同士の連携，および道路と自動車の協調により実現した共同研究・開発の取組みが評価されました。

Cooperative research entitled “Development of traffic smoothness system for motorway sag sections” by Prof. Oguchi, NILIM (National Institute of Land and Infrastructure Management), and Smart Traffic Flow Control Research Group (consist with five Japanese car manufacturers) has been awarded with the 12th MLIT (Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) Award of the Industry, Academia and Government Cooperation Contribution. The developed system to mitigate the traffic congestion emergence consist with a cooperative technologies of ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) as the cutting edge industrial technology and the traffic detection and information provision technology provided by highway administration, based on the academic knowledge of the traffic congestion emergence mechanism. The activity won a high estimation because of not only the cooperation among car manufacturers but also that between highways and vehicles supported by academia.
