藤野陽三名誉教授が「報公賞」を受賞　University of Tokyo Professor Emeritus Yozo Fujino is the winner of the 2015 Hattori Hoko award

藤野陽三名誉教授が，公益財団法人服部報公会の「報公賞」を受賞しました．セ イコーホールディングスの創業者服部金太郎氏によって設立された服部 報公会 は，1931年以来，工学の進歩に著しく貢献する研究を対象に毎年1件「報公賞」 を贈呈しています．1938年にはノーベル賞の湯川秀樹博 士も受賞されています．藤野先生は社会基盤構造安全学の研究に努め，橋などのインフラストラクチャの 振動の予測と制御，そしてモニタリングの研究において世界をリード し，「構 造制御」という分野を確立し，構造工学の新しい潮流を主導されました．授賞式 は10月9日に東京・丸の内の日本工業倶楽部で行われまし た．

Professor Emeritus Yozo Fujino received the 2015 Hattori Hoko award on October, 9. Hattori Hokokai foundation, established in 1930 by the founder of the Seiko holdings, presents the “Hoko award” to a single recipient every year. Recipients of the award in the past include Dr. Hideki Yukawa, a Nobel Prize winner. Dr. Yozo Fujino has been involved in the research on the safety of infrastructure and led research on infrastructure dynamics, control, and monitoring. He thus led and solidified new trend in structural engineering.
